The Max — The Maximalist Backpack (Trunk Sale)

The Max is our biggest carry — spacious enough for a weekend trip as a solo carry-on, with exterior pockets for chargers and essentials, and a clean, unencumbered interior for your laptop, lunch, or whatever the day demands.

This model is part of our Trunk Sale: pieces that have been displayed or handled in our workshop. They may show minor signs of handling — a light scuff or slight variation in finish — but nothing that affects function or longevity. Full-grain leather only gets better with age, and these bags are built to last generations.

Materials: 100% full-grain cowhide, alligator-embossed cowhide flap panels, solid brass hardware, bonded nylon thread.

Dimensions (approximate — handmade):

  • Bag: 18"H × 12"W × 7"D
  • Side pockets (each): 5.75"H × 3.25"W × 2"D
  • Front pocket: 5.75"H × 7.5"W × 2"D

Care: Wipe with a damp cloth. Condition with leather balm every 6–12 months.

Natural Leather Variations

Each piece is crafted from full-grain leather, a natural material with its own unique character. Variations in grain pattern, texture, and tone are inherent to genuine leather and are not defects — they are a mark of authenticity. Scars, wrinkles, and subtle color differences reflect the animal's natural life and add to the individuality of your piece. No two items will look exactly alike, and these natural markings will become more pronounced and beautiful as the leather develops a patina over time.
